cartoon children dressed in halloween costume

Our annual Halloween/Fall Walk will take place at 8:30 AM on Tuesday, 10/31/22.  Children are able to wear their Halloween costumes, dress as their favorite character (from a book, movie, etc.), wear Castlewood attire, or dress as they would on a typical school day!  If wearing a costume, children should arrive at school dressed in their costume.  Family and friends are welcome to come, watch and wave to their children and the students of Castlewood!

Since we had such a positive response from the community last year,  we will walk the same pattern (large circle) as we did last year.

Classes will walk on the sidewalk near the building, in front of our school on 72nd Avenue, around the first cul-de-sac (71st street), back down 72nd Avenue toward Little Neck Parkway, through the small park and walk back into the building.

Families, we ask that you refrain from standing on the sidewalk so that classes are able to walk by smoothly. There are areas you can stand around, including the cul-de-sac and in the park next to the school.

Our fabulous PTA has prepared a treat for each student and will give it to them as they walk back into the building.

Please remember masks, any type of toy/fake "weapons," and heeled or open toe shoes are not permitted.

We hope to see you there!
