Principal's Message

Dear Parents/Guardians,

It is with great pride and excitement that I welcome you all to the start of the new school year! It is truly an honor to continue serving you as I enter my 4th year as Principal of The Castlewood Elementary School.

Leading this “little school with a big heart” continues to be the highlight of my career. This year will mark my 24th year in education within the New York City Department of Education. While I cherish my past experiences in the classroom and administration, the last three years here at Castlewood have been the most rewarding of them all. Together, we have moved past "building a foundation" and are now firmly established in a chapter of growth, community, and academic excellence.

I want to reiterate just how important I believe building strong relationships is to our success. That philosophy has not changed. As always, you will continue to find me available at arrivals and dismissal to answer your questions, greet our students, and stay connected.

Your support over the last few years has been deeply appreciated. I look forward to continuing our collaboration so that we all may continue to grow and learn together.
